Should You Retain A Criminal Lawyer For Your Arraignment Or Bail Hearing
If not given a Desk Appearance Ticket after an arrest, a criminal defendant will appear before a judge to determine the amount of bail or whether the defendant should be held in jail without bail. This can be done at a bail hearing or combined with an arraignment where a formal reading of the charges is made.
The judge will usually release a defendant on bail and set the amount of bail which must be posted. The judge will also decide if the bail must be posted in cash or if the defendant will be allowed to post a bail bond.

Sheffield Personal Injury Lawyer Wins Award
A leading national law firm is pleased with the results of its Sheffield branch in successful clinical negligence and personal injury claims, with a string of impressive results. At the end of 2008, Irwin Mitchell’s Sheffield office, which is home to over a thousand employees was named as Yorkshire’s finest in these areas in Chambers UK: A Client’s Guide to the Legal Profession, with certain partners being singled out for special praise.
Chambers is a top independent national review of all of the country’s law firms and its reviews are based upon the research performed by one hundred of their employees; they rank particular elements and areas of work according which departments and individuals carried it out, and evaluate the performance of each law firm in this manner. This is positive news for the citizens of Sheffield, who can expect a top quality response to their claims of personal injury.
